I started my career in management consulting and corporate strategy. My biggest takeaway from those years is realizing that people are the greatest assets at any organization.
At the same time, I noticed how people were often the most undervalued resource. This motivated me to transition my career focus to HR and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, where I tackled the key challenges at the heart of fully unlocking the potential of individuals and teams to build high-performing teams and organizations.
Within the people equation, I realized that leadership is the most critical variable. Throughout the years as a leader in Tech, I witnessed teams and initiatives flourish or falter depending on the leaders involved. However, the emphasis on leadership often tends to be myopic and inflexible - focused on hitting short-term goals and fitting a predetermined mold - and leaders often times have little to no support to find and grow in their authentic leadership style.
While navigating career transitions and growing as a leader in the process, I have experienced the power of coaching first-hand. It has been trasformative for me and made me want to share it with others. That is why I coach.
